Frequently Asked Questions

Who can come?

Anyone! Your friends, your family, your coworkers. Anyone who wants to help build a house. 🙂

How big are teams?

An ideal team is 10-15 people ages 15 and older, but teams can be smaller or larger as the case dictates

Does that mean that you have to be at least 15 to come?

No! Children of all ages are welcome, the cost to participate is less for children 12 years and under. It is up to the parents to decide if they are comfortable bringing their child onto the build site. All parents are responsible for their children’s safety.

Are the food and water safe?

The tap water is not safe to drink. However, bottled water is provided on the build site and at our base. The food is also well prepared by our staff and we follow health regulations.

Is it sanitary?

Yes, you will have access to sanitary facilities at the base and at the build site.

What kinds of documents do I need to come into Mexico?

Your passport for sure, but depending on where you are traveling from you may need other documentation, check our Preparing to Come page for more information.
