Short Term Ministries - Training Overview

Some goals of our training schools are to:

  • Equip you to grow in relationship with God, provide a solid Biblical foundation, and encourage Christ-like character through personal application of truth.
  • Challenge you to become involved in mission and world evangelism with YWAM or other ministries, awaken a burden for reaching the unreached, instill a vision for influencing all areas of society, and provoke a commitment to strengthening the global Body of Christ
  • Impart an understanding of Youth with A Mission International, its Foundational Values, calling and opportunities for service.
  • Prepare you to serve in the local church and community.

YWAM Training SchoolsYWAM EP-J offers three bilingual training programs: the Discipleship Training School (DTS), which is the prerequisite for all of YWAM training, the School of Missions and Evangelism (SOME), and the Bible School for the Nations (BSN). All of these schools are certified through the degree granting University of the Nations (U of N). All schools are offered bilingually in both Spanish and English. The schedule includes three or four months of living in community and studying at our training center in Juárez, Mexico where classroom instruction and small group meetings take place. Following the classroom phase, you spend approximately two months in a cross-cultural setting that allows you to live out what you have been learning.

Successful completion of the DTS, SOME, and BSN prepare you for full-time service with Youth With A Mission, here and around the world. They also open the door to an Associates of Arts Degree offered through YWAM Mexico and the University of the Nations.
